Don’t try it. Technically possible, but without professional rework equipment and steady hands, you will destroy the board. The chips are tiny, tightly packed, and require compatibility with the CPU’s memory controller and often a BIOS update. Instead, buy a different laptop, use swap/page file tricks, or accept 8GB as the ceiling.
