B660 vs W680 for ECC RAM: B660 won't run ECC with i5-12600K

Intel only supports ECC on 12th-gen consumer CPUs with a W680 chipset, not B660. B660 boards disable ECC functions, so ECC DIMMs either run in non-ECC mode or fail to boot. If you need error correction, get a W680 board or a Xeon with a C-series chipset.
