Are drones allowed in national parks and other public parks?

In US national parks, drones are flat-out banned with no exceptions. State parks vary but most ban them or require permits you probably won’t get. City parks sometimes allow drones in designated zones, but that’s rare. Unless you find a clear “drones allowed here” sign or website page, don’t fly — rangers will confiscate your drone and fine you.
