Are Arctix snow pants good for serious winter weather?

They’re fine for the first hour of a light dusting, but by lunchtime on a serious snow day, the insulation packs down and the waterproofing starts to feel like a suggestion. They’re a perfectly adequate starter pair, but not built for full-day, wet-snow play.
