American side vs Canadian side of Niagara Falls: American side is cheaper and walkable, but Canadian views are better

The American side has lower hotel prices and puts you right at the state park entrance — walk to Bridal Veil Falls, Goat Island, and Maid of the Mist without a car. The Canadian views are better, but with a passport you can cross the Rainbow Bridge on foot for free and enjoy both sides anyway.
