5 Tips for Washing Cloth Mousepads

  1. Wash every 2–3 months That’s the sweet spot. Washing too often wears the surface out faster, and washing too rarely lets grime build up.

  2. Hand wash with mild soap Use warm water and a drop of dish soap. Work it in gently with your fingers—no scrubbing with a brush or sponge.

  3. Rinse and press dry Rinse thoroughly, then press out water with a towel. Don’t wring it. Let it air dry flat to avoid warping.

  4. Skip the washing machine Machine washing is faster but rough on fibers and can warp the rubber base. It’s not worth the risk.

  5. Avoid bleach or harsh cleaners These ruin the glide and make the surface feel rough. For light dust, a damp microfiber cloth works fine between washes.
