5 Tips for Washing a Cloth Mousepad
Wash every 3–4 weeks Wash your cloth mousepad every three to four weeks, or sooner if the glide feels sluggish or the fabric gets greasy. Daily mouse users should stick to this schedule.
Hand wash with mild dish soap and cold water Gently rub the surface with your fingers, rinse thoroughly, and press out water with a towel. Never wring it, use hot water, or put it in the dryer.
Let it air dry flat Lay the mousepad flat to air dry. Machine drying can warp the base or fray the edges.
Avoid machine washing Machine washing risks damaging the pad’s base and edges. Hand washing takes five minutes and extends the pad’s life by months.
Be gentle with printed designs If your mousepad has a printed design, wash even more gently to prevent ink fading. If you eat at your desk daily, wash every two weeks.
