5 Tips for Removing Deep Stains With Baking Soda and Dish Soap
Make a thick paste with baking soda and a little dish soap like Dawn. Apply it to the stain and rub gently with a soft brush or fingers.
Let the paste sit for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Repeat the process if the stain remains.
For stubborn marks, scrub with the paste, then soak in a 1:3 white vinegar and water solution. Sunlight also works as a natural bleach if you leave the item damp in the sun.
Never use hot water, as it can set some stains permanently. Stick to cold water for rinsing and soaking.
Accept that ink or dye stains may not come out completely. White mousepads are not a lifetime commitment.
