5 Tips for Photographing Bridal Veil Falls Without Getting Soaked

  1. Skip the main lower deck Most people crowd the main lower deck right under Bridal Veil Falls. You get drenched and the view is just a wall of white.

  2. Climb to the upper walkway near the exit It’s less crowded and elevated. You get a diagonal angle of the falls with much less mist.

  3. Frame the American Falls in the background From the upper platform, you can include the American Falls in your shot for a better composition.

  4. Accept some mist but not lens-fogging spray The mist still hits the upper platform, but it won’t fog your lens completely like the main deck does.

  5. Bring a microfiber cloth anyway Even with less mist, a cloth helps keep your lens clean for sharp photos.
