5 Things to Know About Setting No-Go Zones on a Roborock

  1. No-go zones are set entirely in the app Open the Roborock app, tap the map, and draw them. No physical tape or magnets needed.

  2. Find the edit map option on the main screen Tap “Edit Map” (looks like a pencil or three dots depending on your app version). Then choose “No-Go Zones” to draw rectangles or circles.

  3. The robot will not enter any zone you draw Once set, the robot avoids those areas completely. You can also set “No-Mop Zones” separately for rugs or carpets.

  4. Wait for a full mapping run before drawing zones If you draw zones too early, the map might update and shift them to the wrong spot. Let the robot finish mapping your house once first.

  5. Keep it simple Just draw a box and go. This is not where you overthink it.
