Clean the leather first Use a dedicated leather cleaner without alcohol or harsh chemicals. This removes dirt and oils that can cause damage during storage.

Apply a leather conditioner Choose a conditioner made for finished leather, like Bickmore or Leather Honey. Let it soak in for a few hours, then buff gently to restore moisture.

Stuff the bag to hold its shape Use acid-free tissue paper inside the bag. This prevents creases and keeps the structure intact during long storage.

Wrap in breathable material Use the original dust bag or a cotton pillowcase. Avoid plastic, which traps moisture and promotes mold.
