5 Steps to Set XMP Manually

Enter the BIOS and navigate to the “Advanced” or “OC” section. Look for DRAM Frequency, DRAM Voltage, and DRAM Timings.

Set the DRAM Frequency to your kit’s rated speed, such as 3200MHz. Most DDR4 kits require 1.35V, but check your specific model.

Enter the primary timings manually, like 16-18-18-38. These numbers are the XMP profile; you are just typing them in.

Find the exact timings on the stick’s label, the box, or the manufacturer’s product page. Look for the “SPD” or “XMP” tab for the correct values.

Save and reboot. If the system fails to post, clear CMOS and try 1.36V or loosen the timings slightly.
