5 Steps to Reconnect a Robot Vacuum After a Router Change

  1. Put the vacuum in pairing mode Hold the power or home button for 3-5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light blinks. Check your app or manual if that doesn’t work.

  2. Remove the old device from the app If the vacuum still shows up, delete it. Then add it fresh as if it were brand new.

  3. Ensure the vacuum is on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Most cheap robot vacuums only work on 2.4GHz. If your router mixes 2.4 and 5GHz under the same SSID, temporarily disable the 5GHz band or create a guest network on 2.4GHz only.

  4. Reconnect the vacuum through the app The app should find the vacuum in pairing mode. Once connected, you can re-enable 5GHz.

  5. Reboot if it still won’t connect Power cycle the vacuum and your phone, then try again. Nine times out of ten, forcing a re-pair fixes the issue.
