5 Reasons to Avoid Retractable Reels for Continuous High Loads
Heat buildup is the main danger When a cord is coiled on a reel, it cannot dissipate heat like a straight cord. Continuous high loads from space heaters, refrigerators, or air conditioners can melt the insulation or trip the reel’s thermal cutoff.
