5 Reasons Not to Enable XMP With ECC RAM
ECC RAM prioritizes stability over speed ECC memory is built for data integrity in servers and workstations, not for overclocking. Enabling XMP works against its core purpose.
Most consumer motherboards don’t support XMP with ECC Intel only validates ECC on W-series chipsets, and XMP is not part of that validation. Even boards that accept ECC often ignore XMP profiles entirely.
