5 Facts About Sgt. Pepper's Album of the Year Win

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band won Album of the Year at the 1968 Grammys. The 10th Annual Grammy Awards honored the 1967 release, making it the first rock album to win the category.

It beat out four other nominees. The competition included Francis Albert Sinatra & Antônio Carlos Jobim, It Must Be Him by Vikki Carr, Ode to Billie Joe by Bobbie Gentry, and My Cup Runneth Over by Ed Ames.
