4 Ways to Fix a Crease in a Cloth Mousepad
Use an iron with a damp towel Dampen a thin towel, lay it over the crease, and press with a dry iron on low-medium heat for 5-10 seconds. Lift and repeat, keeping the iron moving to avoid melting the rubber backing.
Apply weight while cooling Immediately after ironing, place heavy books or a cutting board on the mousepad until it cools. This forces the fibers flat as they set.
Try rolling it backward If you don’t have an iron, roll the mousepad opposite the crease overnight, then stack heavy books on it for a day. This works about half the time.
Avoid soaking or dishwashers Submerging the pad in water often ruins the rubber backing. Stick to the damp towel method for best results.
