4 Things to Know About Using Muriatic Acid for Pool Scale

Muriatic acid is the most effective remover for calcium carbonate scale on pool tile. It works faster and cheaper than most off-the-shelf scale removers.

Always dilute it per bottle instructions, typically 1:10 with water. Apply with a stiff brush or sprayer, let it sit for a minute, then scrub and rinse thoroughly.

Never let it dry on tile, as it will etch grout and can burn skin. Wear gloves and goggles every time.
