4 Things to Know About the Rhythm Sections on the Ellington-Coltrane Sessions

Two different rhythm sections were used across the album. Drummer Sam Woodyard and bassist Aaron Bell played on some tracks, while John Coltrane’s regular rhythm section of Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones played on others.
