The band was a one-off supergroup formed for the Rolling Stones’ Rock and Roll Circus in 1968. John Lennon played guitar and sang, Eric Clapton played lead guitar, Keith Richards played bass, and Mitch Mitchell played drums.

They only performed two songs together: a cover of “Yer Blues” and a jam called “Whole Lotta Yodel.” The performance was never officially released until 1996.

The lineup combined members of The Beatles, Cream, The Rolling Stones, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience. This made it one of the most star-studded rock collaborations of the 1960s.
