4 Steps to Fix a Robot Vacuum After a Hard Fall

  1. Remap the house Unless you see physical damage like a cracked housing or wonky turret, just start a full cleaning run from the app. The LiDAR recalibrates automatically as it spins up.

  2. Power cycle the robot Unplug the dock, remove the battery for 10 seconds if possible, then plug it back in. This clears temporary glitches.

  3. Run sensor calibration Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Sensor Calibration in the app. Some models hide this under “Maintenance.” It takes about a minute.

  4. Factory reset as a last resort Only do this if the map still looks janky or the robot seems confused after the steps above. A hard fall usually just knocks a few screws loose—you’d hear rattling if something is actually broken.
