4 Signs Your Pool Pump Motor Is Failing

Unusual noise Loud humming, screeching, or grinding means something is wrong. A high-pitched squeal from bad bearings or a sound like a dying blender is your first clue.

Excessive heat A failing motor runs hot. If the pump housing feels too hot to touch for more than a few seconds, the bearings are shot or the motor is working too hard.

Tripping the breaker If your pump keeps throwing the circuit, the motor is pulling too many amps. This is a clear sign of electrical trouble.
