3 Ways to Lower CYA in Your Pool (and 2 That Don’t Work)

Drain and refill Partial draining and refilling is the only reliable, safe fix. It removes cyanuric acid directly and restores balance without side effects.

Reverse osmosis filtration A service truck filters out CYA and other dissolved solids without dumping water. It works but costs more than a partial drain.

Flocculant products These clump CYA so it settles to the bottom, but it can redissolve. You still have to vacuum to waste, which drains water anyway.
