3 Tips for Placing Your Robot Vacuum Dock
Put the dock near the center of your home Choose the wall closest to the geographic center of your floor plan. This minimizes the average distance your robot has to travel from any room back to base.
Keep the area around the dock clear Leave at least three feet of open space in front of the dock with no obstacles blocking the robot’s approach. Hallways and open living rooms work best.
Avoid tight corners and under furniture Tucking the dock under furniture or in a corner forces the robot to waste time maneuvering just to leave or return. A center location isn’t perfect if you prioritize certain rooms, but it’s the best hands-off setup.
