3 Things to Know About the ThinkCentre M90q Gen 3's 2.5-Inch Drive Bay

The 2.5-inch bay only accepts drives up to 7 mm tall. Standard 9.5 mm drives will not fit.

A 9.5 mm drive will not clear the chassis. Do not force it in, as it will not close properly.

If you have a 9.5 mm drive, you must replace it with a 7 mm model. No adapter or modification can make a thicker drive work.
