3 Steps to Keep Your Snorkel Mold-Free
Rinse with fresh water immediately after every use Saltwater and freshwater both leave enough moisture for mold to grow in the dark tube. Shake out excess water after rinsing.
Air dry completely before storing Let the snorkel dry upright or hung so water can drain. Never store it wet in a bag or case, as that guarantees mold growth.
Treat existing mold with diluted white vinegar Soak in a 1:3 vinegar-to-water solution for 15 minutes, or use mild dish soap with a pipe cleaner. Rinse well afterward, but prevention through rinsing and drying is far easier than treatment.
