3 Steps to Check If You Need 32GB of RAM
Open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc and go to the Performance tab. Watch the Memory section during your heaviest workload, focusing on the “In use” value, not total available.
If “In use” regularly hits 80–90% of your current 16GB, upgrading to 32GB will give a real benefit. If it stays below 70% even when multitasking, you are fine.
High memory usage alone is not a problem because Windows caches unused memory. But if you see constant paging to disk (high “Hard Faults” in Task Manager), you likely need more RAM.
