Kevin Parker wrote, recorded, and produced Innerspeaker entirely alone. He handled every instrument and vocal track without any other musicians or producers involved.

Dave Fridmann mixed the album at Tarbox Road Studios in Cassadaga, New York. Fridmann’s mixing gave the record its distinct psychedelic sound.
