Who wants to stand on cold concrete floors? Not me, that's for sure so when I am in the basement I have these foam interlocking mats that can be used for a myriad of uses such as mats for playroom or kids room but the ones I have are a bit sturdier and can be used for gym use
### Jim's Pick
I like these mats for the basement because the are cheap at about 2 bucks a mat and they're higher density than some of the other and they usually run about $30 for a set of 18.

There are other floor mats available too but these a pretty good deal and what I have and use every day.
